Custom Built Home in Marshall, NC

All the gorgeous exterior lumber for the decks and roofs is locally sourced Black Locust. We purchased logs from a remote high region in Western North Carolina called Little Canada. The logs were then milled by a local sawmill into the lumber that was needed for the project.

The upper level of this home is the master suite, guest bed, and guest bath. The master suite has french doors that lead to a private second-floor porch.

The lower level is the kitchen and living area. The french doors swing out to the covered porch and outdoor living area.

The back foundation lower wall is a cast-in-place concrete wall that also has a concrete root cellar bermed into the hill.
